  • Michael Baechler appointed as Group COO - Nils Thater succeeds as Managing Director of Business Unit Global

    Michael Baechler & Nils Thater 06.09.2018 - Effective June 1, 2019, Michael Baechler (47), Head of the Business Unit (BU) Global, Dürrenäsch, is appointed to the new position as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Bertschi Group. Michael Baechler has been working for the company since 1998 and has played a key role in the development of the Group in different positions such as Division Manager Projects, Head of Intermodal Network, General Manager Italy and Managing Director BU Liquids Europe.view

  • CEO Change Bertschi Group

    Jan Arnet Hans-Jörg Bertschi 06.08.2018 - The change of CEO announced in January has taken place as planned. Jan Arnet has taken over the operational management from Hans-Jörg Bertschi and is the new CEO of the Bertschi Group since 1 August 2018. We are pleased that a very experienced and reliable manager has come to the top and are convinced that he will drive forward the development of the Bertschi Group with much enthusiasm. Hans-Jörg Bertschi will focus on new market activities and strategic projects as Executive Chairman of the Board and keeps active in the company on a full-time basis.view

  • Bertschi opens plastics hub at the Port of Antwerp

    Bertschi Plastics Hub Port of Antwerp 13.06.2018 - On June 13th global logistics service provider Bertschi celebrated the opening of a new plastics hub of more than 25,000 square meters, which is part of a bigger area called ‘Antwerp Zomerweg Terminal (AZT)’ and ideally located in the Port of Antwerp. Various value added logistics services are provided, such as transshipments, storage and distribution of imported overseas’ bulk plastics.  view
  • Hans-Jörg Bertschi honored with LEO-Award for lifetime achievement

    Hans-Jörg Bertschi & LEO Award 26.03.2018 - At this year’s LEO-Gala in Hamburg Hans-Jörg Bertschi was presented with the Award in the category ‘Lifetime Logistics Achievement’. The Prize honors his role in Switzerland’s rail based transit transport policy, the development of a European intermodal transport network as well as his accomplishments in successfully growing the Bertschi Group into a global chemical logistics player over the last 30 years.    view

    40 years Bertschi Köln 05.09.2017 - Last Saturday the Bertschi Transport GmbH Cologne celebrated its 40th anniversary with a big party. The organization - it is part of the chemical logistics company Bertschi - plays an important role in the intermodal transport chain on the north-south-axis and can look back with satisfaction on a successful development since its founding.    view
