Uyeno Group Leadership Visits Bertschi Headquarters in Switzerland

Bertschi had the pleasure of welcoming the leadership of its Japanese joint venture partner, the Uyeno Group, to Switzerland. Mr. Takashi Uyeno, Chairman & CEO of Uyeno Group, visited our headquarters together with his wife, Ms. Junko Uyeno, and Mr. Yasuki Sato, Managing Executive Officer, Overseas Business at Uyeno Group.

During their visit to our headquarters in Dürrenäsch, the two companies exchanged views on their collaboration and discussed the continued development of their joint business in Japan. The visit also included time together outside the office, with a trip to Lucerne.

Uyeno brings more than 150 years of experience in logistics, energy and the chemical industry in Japan. The joint venture, Uyeno Bertschi Logistics Solutions, has been operating in Tokyo since January 2024, combining Uyeno’s strong local market expertise with Bertschi’s global ISO tank container network.

Together, Uyeno and Bertschi are developing international tank container solutions for Japanese customers and multinationals, from port-to-port transport to integrated door-to-door logistics connecting Japan with markets around the world.

The visit provided another opportunity to strengthen the partnership and exchange on the future development of the joint venture.
