A new basketball hoop for the local community in Zetzwil
A worn basketball hoop at a local school in Zetzwil had bothered Bertschi colleague David Eichenberger for some time. As a former basketball player, he decided to take the initiative and find a practical solution.
“Being a former avid basketball player, the badly run-down basketball hoop on the school grounds where I live had been a thorn in my side for quite a while,” says David, Department Head, Liquids Coordination at Bertschi.
“That’s why we came up with the idea of putting up something better within a manageable budget, creating a place where children and young people can play and exercise.”
Bertschi agreed to support the project. David organized a new basket and backboard, which was designed with the Bertschi logo and mascots. Stickerprint&Kreatives in Zetzwil printed the backboard. Many thanks to them for their support.
The municipality also supported the project and moved the basketball court to a more suitable location.
The new hoop has been in place since the beginning of the year and is already being used by local youngsters.
David adds: “I would like to thank everyone once again for their support for a great cause!”
