Bertschi Award: A Look at its History and Importance

Since its introduction in 2016, the Bertschi Award has become an integral part of our corporate culture. To date, 68 Bertschi Awards have been presented – a reflection of our employees’ outstanding commitment to safety.

The award recognizes their daily commitment to and responsibility for a safe working environment. The Bertschi Award is not only a token of recognition, but also symbolizes exemplary conduct and special commitment in the area of safety. It serves as an incentive for all employees to actively promote safety-conscious work practices and to continuously contribute to the improvement of safety standards. Safety is not a one-off achievement, but an ongoing process that can only be successfully shaped through joint commitment.

In addition to an official certificate and a gift, the honored employees receive a personal mention with a photo in our Bertschi News. This honor makes their special achievement visible while at the same time inspiring others to redouble their commitment to safety aspects as well. The public recognition is intended not only as a thank you, but also as a sign of appreciation for all who do their part for a safe working environment on a daily basis – be it through their own exemplary behavior or by motivating and supporting their colleagues.

The safety of our employees is our top priority. We therefore work continuously to raise awareness of safe behavior and establish a safety culture that is practiced across all locations and areas of activity. Training courses, workshops and regular safety campaigns help to expand our employees’ knowledge and raise awareness of potential risks. After all, safety is a shared responsibility and everyone can and should contribute to creating a safe working environment.
