As a long-standing leader in European intermodal chemical logistics, Bertschi Group’s best-in-class presence in Europe has built a profound network set up for rail, road, and waterway transportation. This network includes our own truck fleet, train terminals, and logistics hubs for both dry bulk and liquid chemical products.

Bertschi’s service offering, however, extends way beyond European borders.

Since 2012, Bertschi has established its global presence, expanding its reach to the global market with the establishment of our deepsea ISOtank transportation service, and our state-of-the-art Liquids logistics hubs in key geographical locations. Bertschi’s world-class ISOtanks have since set a new standard in ISOtank design and technology, and our global network of subsidiaries and local agents allow for a global One-Stop-Shop for transportation, container yard storage, heating, repacking, and warehousing.

Our worldwide logistics hubs offer such Value-Added Services for our customers. The Bertschi network includes Dry-Bulk logistics hubs in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Finland, and Liquids hubs in the Middle East (Jubail) and in Asia (China and Singapore).

The Bertschi Zhangjiagang Liquids Hub in China is our new chemical warehouse and container terminal of 60,000 square meters. This hub was built based on the highest international standards and the best available technology in the field. It is the largest investment of the Bertschi group thus far and is due to start operations in the second half of this year. The most important features of our door-to-door transportation services to China include:

  • Port-to-door and door-to-door service from shipper to consignee
  • Integrated service includes Dangerous Goods laden container yard storage, drumming, heating, Class A/B/C DG warehouse storage and domestic transportation.
  • Streamlined processes eliminating issues with multiple service providers
  • Customs clearance
