Ever since Bertschi was founded, safety has been a key element of everything the company does. The group-wide SHEQ programme (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) addresses every aspect of safety and training and ensures that the highest standards are applied. 

The SHEQ management system, which is implemented and practised across the whole Group, is based upon certifications according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, GMP+ B4, as well as SQAS and CDI assessments in the areas of transport service, tank cleaning and warehousing.

All employees receive systematic training and education, including:

  • Detailed introduction training for new hires
  • Annual driver training
  • Group behavioural-based safety (BBS) training (including defensive driving, eco-drive, roll stability support)
  • ISOPA training 
  • ADR & IMDG training
