Management system of the BERTSCHI Group
Basis for the BERTSCHI management system, which is implemented throughout the whole Group, are the certifications according to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, ISO 22000:2005, GMP+ B4.1, as well as individual SQAS Assessments in the Transport Service, Tank Cleaning and Warehouse area (for further information on this see below).
In addition, the drivers are educated and trained in the following topics (abstract):
- Detailed basic training (centrally)
- Yearly drivers trainings
- BBS (incl. Defensive Driving, Eco-Drive, Roll Stability Support)
- ISOPA
- Special products
The BERTSCHI Group is centrally organised and, thus, harbours an optimized Customer-Service-Center, which enables very direct and efficient actions, resulting in a significant competitive edge.
Various positive evaluations both by customers and by external auditors confirmed the above.
Certifications
ISO 9001:2008
BERTSCHI AG is certified according to ISO 9001:2008 (multi-site) since 1991. In the course of time and parallel to the growth of the whole company structure, the corresponding subsidiaries were continuously integrated in the management system. This guarantees a uniform operational structure throughout the BERTSCHI Group.
A re-certification is required every three years. The last one took place in the summer of 2010. This could be completed successfully, confirming that the management system is implemented according to the corresponding requirements.
SGS confirmed implementation of the requirements according to ISO 9001:2008.

ISO 14001:2004
In September 2012 BERTSCHI AG was certified according to ISO 14001:2004. This certification by SGS confirms, that we are conducting our business as an environment-friendly transport enterprise.

In summer 2012 BERTSCHI AG was re-certified according to ISO 22000:2005 (first certification in July 2009). This re-certification by SGS confirms, that BERTSCHI AG also operates according to the latest standards of the foodstuffs sector and that the procedures comply with the corresponding regulations.

Also in summer 2012, BERTSCHI AG was re-certified according to GMP+ B4.1 (first certification in July 2009). This re-certification confirms, that BERTSCHI AG also operates according to the latest standards of the feedstuffs sector and that the procedures comply with the corresponding regulations. This certification was also organised by SGS.

Additionally, large parts of standards e.g. regarding occupational safety are already implemented and covered in the existing management system. Moreover, the larger operating sites of the Group are individually SQAS assessed by external Assessors. Many further requirements are included in these Assessments and can be checked by evaluating the SQAS reports (you can find further details concerning SQAS hereunder).
Evaluations
SQAS
Since many years, BERTSCHI is an active member of different associations in the chemical industry, as well as the transport and logistics sector in Europe. The following operating sites are regularly and individually SQAS assessed in the areas of Transport Service, Tank Cleaning (where own cleaning facilities exist) and Warehouse (where an own warehouse exists). These Assessments ensure, that customers within the chemical industry can evaluate on-line and in a uniform way their service providers.

At the following operating sites BERTSCHI has own cleaning facilities, which are assessed according to the specific SQAS Tank Cleaning questionnaire. Furthermore, all of these cleaning facilities are members of the respective national tank cleaning associations. The European Cleaning Document (ECD) is the standard at all BERTSCHI cleaning stations.

Kosher
BERTSCHI has received the Kosher certificate, which is valid for the whole Group as of end of May 2012.
